Locomotor


In second year, I designed and built a fully functioning locomotor required to walk in a straight line. Parts were designed in SolidWorks and laser cut from acrylic sheets. Four Jansen linkages were used as legs and were powered by a gearbox assembled in the workshop. The project was a success and the locomotor travelled beyond the specified distance.
